1. What project was your most challenging and why?
By far, the most challenging project for me was the Dwelling project. Hot glueing the cards together wasn't that bad until I had to figure out how to put them in the shape I wanted. Another tough thing was getting the towers to be the same height. It was very hard to make them even because on the cards, it's hard to tell where a good marking spot would be to glue them. Since I fractured my arm near the end of the project, I had to figure out how to finish it with one arm, which was another very big challenge for me. In the end though, I think the Queen of Hearts Castle turned out pretty good.
2. Did you feel the illistration Fridays helped you think out of the box? Why or why not?
I think the illistration Fridays did help me think out side of the box. For the final project, we had to do either something functional or fake food. I went with functional and decided to make a dress out of Christmas items. I used wrapping paper and garland. I definitely feel like I thought outside of the box for the final project. The illistration Fridays helped a lot by giving us a word and having to think about what comes to your mind when you think of that word and going further with it.
3. Was there a medium you wished you worked with or worked with more? Why?
Throughout the year, I tried to stay away from clay because I'm that good with clay. One of the first project I used clay with was the final figure project. After using clay in this project I wish I had used it more. It actually didn't turn out that bad of a project in the end. If I had given myself a chance to use more clay, maybe I would have started to like it more. If I take sculpture 2 I will definitely use clay way more than I did this year.
